Kormetal from yesterday to tomorrow
Having started as a small workshop in 1978, Kormetal has now turned into a giant factory. Our company, which has been progressing towards greater targets with the excitement of the first day, always aims to move forward. Here is the long story of Kormetal from 42 years ago to the present:
1978 - Establishment
The foundations of Kormetal were laid in Istanbul, at a small workshop of 30 m².

1986 - New Factory and Wheel Production
In only 8 years, Kormetal expanded its production plant by almost 20 times , moved to its new factory of 5,000 m², and started light alloy wheel production. In the same year, the company started cooperation with DIAL, the French wheel company, and realized its first export to the EU countries.

1992 - Export to 14 Countries
Number of export destination countries in overall Europe reached 14.

1994 - Capacity Increase
Having expanded its capacity by approximately 50%, Kormetal moved to its new production plant with 7,000 m² indoor area in Avcilar, Istanbul. Kormetal Pazarlama Ltd. Şti. was established for domestic marketing and sales activities.

1995 - Kormetal Foreign Trade
Kormetal Dış Ticaret Ltd. was established for foreign marketing and sales activities.

1996 - ISO Quality Certificates
Üretim kalitesinde çağı takip eden Kormetal ISO 9001 belgesini aldı.

1997 - ThoDi Alu-Handels-GmbH
Number of partners in Europe increased as a result of a new cooperation with the German company ThoDi Alu-Handels-GmbH.

2000 - Modernizasyon Yatırımı
Modernization investment in the rim production plant to meet the requirements of the new millennium.

2000 - TSE Uygunluk Belgesi
Üretimde kaliteden asla ödün vermeme gayretiyle TS 8987 TSE Belgesi alındı.

2005 - Painting Plant Investment
Diversity in wheel production increased with painting plant investment.

2010 – Nokian Tyres
Exclusive Turkey distributor agreement was signed with the world famous Finnish company Nokian Tyres.

Investment in production automation to catch the current production trends.

Investment in customized forged rim production plant and creation of KMForged brand.

Kormetal R&D Center was establish in 2018 and approved by Turkish Science Ministry of Industry and Technology.
